Born in Naples, Florida, to a Canadian Irish/English father and Honduran Spanish-Italian mother, Patricia Byron's immersion into the arts began early, cultivated within her family's antiques shop. This rich, diverse heritage and exposure to historical artifacts fostered a curiosity for exotic countries and cultures that would shape her artistic path.

Byron's global explorations led her to reside in Turkey and Iran. During her extensive throughout Europe and the Middle East, she became captivated by the natural beauty and historical sites, compelling her to document her experiences through photography, writing and painting.

Her abstract paintings are driven by a spiritual motivation, acting as a mood-evoking interplay of emotions and symbolic reflections. While living in Tehran, she studied at the School of Persian Studies & Culture at Tehran University and was a writer for the British Library Ladies group. A notable figure in the Central Florida's art scene, she is a Painting & Drawing faculty member and former Program Manager at the non-profit Crealdé School of Art in Winter Park, where she previously held positions as a Fellowship Student and Studio Artist.

Byron is the 2025 national winner of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Women in the Arts Recognition Award for her significant achievements in the non-performance arts. She has also received two Editors Choice Awards from the International Library of Poetry for her writing and has judged  numerous art exhibitions and festivals, and has also curated exhibits in the Central Florida area. She maintains an art studio at FAVO located in downtown Orlando. She is a co-host/founder of The Painted City Podcast.

Committed to arts education and community outreach, Byron is a past member of the Florida chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art and has volunteered for the ABCs Art Program at the Coalition for the Homeless. She has taught several outreach programs in underserved communities across Central Florida.

The artist is a descendant of the acclaimed poet Lord Byron and the granddaughter of the celebrated writer and composer Fernando Ferrari.

"As an artist, I strive to interpret my visions of tranquility and harmony from brush to canvas. I am intrigued by the movement and dimensional complexity that can form with paint. My process usually begins with spontaneous mark-making using charcoal, followed by pouring paint and allowing the colors and textures to collide organically onto the canvas.

Through my paintings, I aim to release a lyrical—almost poetic—introspective journey where the visual meets the emotional. Ultimately, I weave the treasure of my memories into my work for the viewer to experience. I am profoundly grateful for my extensive travels and encounters with diverse cultures, for without them, I would not have emerged as the artist or writer I am today."
